The BC Real Estate Association's (BCREA's) new discussion paper, Trust as the Foundation of Property Ownership, grounds the REALTOR® perspective in the ongoing conversations around the recent Cowichan Tribes v. Canada (AG) (2025 BCSC) court decision on one thing: continued trust and confidence in the Torrens system.  

BCREA frames the discussion paper as information and research that can support their advocacy efforts on behalf of all BC Realtors. It is not a position on the court’s decision or Aboriginal title claim.
