We’ve been made aware of several recent phishing attempts using the “Contact the REALTOR®” feature on Realtylink.org.

Here’s what you need to know.

How the scam works

The scam typically starts with what looks like a legitimate request for information about a listing.

After you respond, the sender asks to move the conversation to a videoconference call. The link they provide appears credible but doesn’t direct you to a legitimate platform. Instead, it prompts you to enter personal information.

What you can do

Please take a moment to review recent emails and messages carefully.

If something feels off:

  • don’t click on any links if you have even the slightest doubt about the message’s legitimacy
  • don’t provide personal or login information through unfamiliar links
  • connect with your managing broker or team right away if you’ve clicked a link or shared information

As a reminder, phishing and spam attempts can happen on any website that includes a communication feature. Treat unexpected or suspicious messages with caution, even if they appear to come through a trusted platform.

We’re monitoring reported incidents, reviewing each situation, and taking appropriate steps where possible.

Thank you for staying vigilant.
