Community Relief Fund application now available
Greater Vancouver REALTORS® has launched the online application form for its Community Relief Fund, making it easier for people and communities facing housing instability to request support.
The fund helps Canadians whose housing has been affected by disasters or other unexpected hardships, including events such as floods, wildfires, fires, or other circumstances. The fund can also support reputable charities that provide direct relief to individuals or communities facing housing instability.
By providing financial assistance during difficult times, the Community Relief Fund aims to help people stabilize their housing situation and begin the recovery process.
Individuals and families experiencing housing instability may apply directly. Registered charities supporting affected communities can also submit applications on behalf of those in need.
Applications are reviewed by the Community Relief Fund Selection Committee, made up of GVR staff and volunteer members. The committee evaluates requests based on factors such as financial need, the impact of the hardship on housing stability, and how the funding could support short-term relief and recovery.
The committee makes their decisions based on the circumstances of each request and the funds available at the time. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
The application form is now available online.
