BCIT students team up with GVR to tackle land assembly challenges in the MLS® and more

Land assembly data
In one of the most geographically constrained real estate markets in the country, a group of BCIT students is working with GVR on a unique project that could reshape how land assembly opportunities are represented in the MLS® system.
The collaboration aims to explore new ways to capture, classify, and display land assembly listings on the MLS®, which is a key area of demand for the increasingly densifying Metro Vancouver real estate market.
The BCIT student team will submit a report later this year, outlining recommendations for GVR and ICE, the provider of Paragon, to consider.
If the findings show it's feasible to adapt or expand current MLS® functionality, GVR will explore a formal plan to implement those changes.
Automation, dashboards, and more
Alongside the land assembly project, other BCIT students will be focused on improving internal operations by streamlining workflow automation and developing a new report dashboard.
These projects are part of GVR’s broader focus on supporting innovation that empowers Realtors with better tools, insights, and services.
